Verizon HTC One coming with microSD support?
Verizon HTC One is almost here, I saw many rumors a while about Verizon getting this phone….So Verizon is going to carry the One and carry the sequel to the DNA later this year?
Verizon has a great network, but they are always last to get new phones. I wish the battery was a bit bigger but it’s def not bad and I am fine with no micro sd card because 32GB-64GB is easily enough.

Verizon Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Developer Edition coming to Verizon. So Samsung has both stock and touchwiz versions for developers? I understand the Verizon model (since the Google edition works for AT&T and T-Mobile) but AT&T too? Choice is great I guess but that makes me wonder why HTC One doesn’t have a stock option as well?

Having the unlocked version from Verizon mean we can load a stock version of android with no problem and it won’t void the warranty from Verizon or Samsung?

Red Galaxy S4 for AT&T on June 14th
Looks pretty good in red, actually. I’d love them to announce colors and a 32GB model. I won’t bother with a 16GB version of this phone. I really wish more carriers would get these different colors. I love my Note 2 on Sprint but I’d love a bright red phone.

Starting on June 14th, in-stores and online, AT&T customers will be able to purchase the 16 GB Samsung Galaxy S 4 in Aurora Red. This new color is available exclusively from AT&T for $199.99 with a two-year agreement. Even more exciting – beginning May 24, customers will be able to pre-order the red Galaxy S 4 at www.att.com/galaxys4 or from any AT&T company-owned retail store.

Glass Half Full: HTC One Demand Outpacing Supply
HTC has sold five million units of their new flagship smartphone, the HTC One, since launch in March. Although those figures won’t match the sales numbers posted by rivals Apple and Samsung, the feat is still impressive given the Taiwanese device-maker’s recent woes. The HTC One has been facing production issues, causing limited availability in some parts of the world. HTC also recently lost several senior executives, including Chief Product Officer Kouji Kodera and Asia CEO Lennard Hoornik, following dismal first quarter results. An unnamed HTC executive told the Wall Street Journal, “Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply. This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it’s doing really well or not.”
What Else You Need To Know:
- The HTC One features a 4-MP “ultrapixel” camera that gathers 300 percent more light, a Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 600 clocked at 1.7GHz, and a Sense 5.0 interface over the Android 4.1 operating system.
- The HTC One is slated to be released in 80 countries but the roll-out has been delayed due to supply issues with the ultrapixel camera components.
- Apple’s iPhone 5 reached the 5-million-units milestone after the first three days of release while Samsung’s Galaxy S4 reached those figures in less than two weeks.

One Samsung Galaxy S4 Sold Every 4 Seconds
Samsung Electronics reported global channel sales of more than 10 million units of the Galaxy S4 in less than a month after its global launch. The latest entry in the Galaxy S series, which is packaged to rival Apple’s iPhone, is the fastest selling smartphone in Samsung’s history. The S4 was officially launched on April 27 in 60 countries. Due to unexpected high demand, the Galaxy S4 had to overcome inventory issues that disrupted its rollout with U.S. carriers Sprint and T-Mobile.
What Else You Need To Know:
- Shipments of the Galaxy S3 only reached the 10-million mark 50 days after launch, while the Galaxy S2 took five months to reach the same milestone.
- Now available in more than 110 countries, the S4 will eventually be sold in over a total of 155 countries in partnership with 327 operators.
- The S4 features a 5-inch Super OLED screen with a whopping 441 ppi resolution, 1.9GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU (U.S. version) or eight-core Samsung Exynos 1.6GHz CPU (international version), 2GB of RAM, a removable 2600 mAh battery, 13MP and 2MP cameras, NFC, 4G, and Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface and “Smart” software.
- The S4 currently in shelves are available only in two color variants, Black Mist and White Frost, but Samsung is releasing this summer S4 variants in new colors including Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn.

Want to update the look and feel of your Android homescreen? Well it’s a whole lot easier than you might think. All you need to do is change your Android launcher.
What is an Android launcher you might ask?
The launcher is the name given to the part of the Android’s user interface that allows you to customize your homescreen, launch apps, make calls and perform other tasks.
While all Android devices come with their default launcher, there are plenty of different themes that you can choose from in the Google Play store.
Let’s take a look at how you can change your own homescreen.

-
Find Your Preferred Launcher in Google Play.
Go to to Google Play store and look for the Launcher that you would like. Most of these downloads should give you an idea of what they can offer.

-
Tap the Home button.
This will bring up a list of all of the launchers available on your device. Choose the launcher that you have just downloaded and then tap always. The new launcher will take over your homescreen.

-
Customize Your Launcher Settings.
In many launchers you can access the settings section by long pressing on the desktop. For other launchers you can access the settings by pressing the menu button. In the Launcher settings you can choose from the different submenus to change the appearance of your desktop, configure the icons to rotate along with your device and so forth.

-
Choose Your Theme.
Go back to the Google Play store and download themes that work with your Launcher. Some themes work with multiple launchers. Just make sure that the one that you download is compatible. To activate your theme go to your launcher settings and choose the theme that you downloaded then press apply.
