The Nokia 6216 Classic cell phone has a NFC chip built-in, which allows it to communicate with NFC communication devices connected to POS in selected locations, just like the VISA/MasterCard card processors. New Nokia Phones - Nokia 6216 Classic features include three pre-programmed NFC tags in the box, a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, 2-inch QVGA display, supports up to 8GB of storage via a microSD card, Bluetooth and a Series 40 handset featuring 3G.

Very nice phone, the Nokia 6216 Classic has an embedded cryptography chip to keep communication highly secure. So this phone is NOT the same with the RFID/other wireless/contactless payment cards out there.

The name Elite could’ve been give to a higher end design. It has a 3.5 inch screen compared to the V’s 3.2, 800mhz processor instead of the slower 600mhz, 5 megapixel camera up from the 3 megapixel, 1 gig of user memory instead of the 162 mb which to me is the biggest improvement. In any event, I’m just glad Virgin Mobile is finally upgrading its phones
