BlackBerry Storm 2 leaked, SurePress display axed

We still don’t know when the BlackBerry Storm 2 will hit the market, but for those who have been dying to see what this 2nd generation full touchscreen RIM device will look like, here’s a treat for you guys.

The BlackBerry Storm 2 showcased in these leaked images looks a lot slimmer and has a more polished look to it compared to its predecessor. RIM has also put in place touch-sensitive controls below the display in lieu of the mechanical buttons of the original Storm. It was rumored that the Storm 2 will come with WiFi and an improved touchscreen display, and while the source of these images failed to mention the inclusion of WiFi, he, however, disclosed that SurePress is no longer part of the package. Instead, a stationary display similar to the iPhone is now used on the Storm 2 albeit featuring haptic feedback as well.

Of course, while this does look like the genuine article, we’re still taking this bit of news with a grain of salt until we got an official announcement from RIM. For now, you can just enjoy these set of BlackBerry Storm 2 pics to you’re heart’s content. More images can be found here.
