Power Texters Face-Off for Canadian Title
Power texters, are your ready? Do you have what it takes to tap your way to fame and fortune?
LG is offering a $25,000 prize for the fastest, most accurate Canadian texter.
In their second annual Canadian text-off, LG is blending marketing savvy with fun, inter-active competition to produce a series of family-friendly events, all in search of the person with the most nimble, accurate fingers.
They have also upped the ante this year, offering contestants three ways to get involved, including a clever use of social networking in which the person with the largest “circle of influence” in Facebook can win a trip for two to Toronto to compete in the finals and $1,000 spending money. Text-master wannabees can also visit as an alternative way of entering the competiton.
At the regional competitions, the two fastest texters will be required to type phrases exactly as they appear on the overhead LG screen.
Regional qualifying tournaments will take place in nine locations throughout the spring, culminating in the ultimate battle in June.
Last year’s winner, Mark Brevia, will be back to attempt to maintain his crown as the Texting Champion.
