The third Android smartphone from HTC namely the has been officially unveiled. This new smartphone runs on Android 1.5 OS and features a 3.2-inch fingerprint-resistant touchscreen display with 320 x 480 pixels, a 5MP camera with autofocus, HTC’s latest Sense UI, an accelerometer sensor, Google Maps, Google Streetview and various other Google apps / services, GPS, WiFi, a microSDHC card slot, a 3.5mm headset jack and supports GSM as well as HSDPA connectivity. Samsung has announced the availability of its latest Android smartphone ‘ Galaxy Spica i5700 ‘ in Canada via Rogers. The handset is sold for $79.99 with a 3-year contract agreement or for $449.99 with free of contract. Nokia will launch an upgraded version of the Nokia E72 for the Chinese market. Dubbed as the Nokia E72i, the new handset supports WAPI (China’s own Wi-Fi technology). The new Nokia E72i features HSDPA, A-GPS, Nokia Maps, accelerometer, a 3.5mm headset jack, a 250MB of internal memory, a QVGA display and a full QWERTY keyboard.
