The LG GM550 cell phone looks just like the Nokia E71, the GM550 has one nice improvement: it removes two shortcut keys and uses the extra space for an even wider control pad. New LG Phones - LG GM550 features include a 3 megapixel camera with a VGA sensor up front for video calling, and stereo speakers on board, a front-facing QWERTY keypad, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, 3G, ( no GPS ?) and runs Windows Mobile 6.1. That is a nice looking phone! If this was an Android phone, it would rock!

If you think about the technology inside these phones then you will realize $800 isn’t that bad for a computer the size of a wallet. That’s a very steep price tag…six hundred dollars or probably seven hundred dollars would have been a better compromise but eight hundred bucks for an unlocked phone that evidently will be discounted a couple months down the line isn’t worth it. Btw, the new AT&T HTC One X has no removable battery (though the capacity is weaker), no expandable memory, less going for it in terms of functionality /versatility of the software, camera is inferior to that on the SGSIII according to all reviews I’ve seen, etc..
