Rogers’ Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 upgrade price gets revealed

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has been rumored to be headed Rogers’ way not once, but twice already. First, it was featured in their 2009 line-up presentation that was leaked towards the end of last year. Second, news about it soft-launching on Rogers this month with a full roll out happening at the end of June surfaced just last month.

Now you can add a third rumor and this one covers the supposed pricing of the XPERIA X1 as far as handset upgrades are concerned. Based on the info and image provided, a regular Rogers subscriber who’s not on a data plan but wants to upgrade to the XPERIA X1 will have to pay at least a minimum of $499.99 just to get one. It could even go as high as $524.99 which begs the question, how much will the handset-only XPERIA X1 cost on Rogers?

As rumors and leakages often go, we’re taking this bit of news with a grain of salt, but nonetheless, this should give you an idea of how much the XPERIA X1 might cost on Rogers in Canada. Hopefully, we’ll get the official word on this one before July gets here as June 30 is the day when this long overdue Sony Ericsson smartphone is expected to be commercially available nationwide.
