Rogers, Fido unleashing iPhone 3GS on June 19; $30/6GB data plan makes a comeback
It appears that Canadians won’t have to wait long to get their hands on the new iPhone 3GS. Rogers has just confirmed that the latest iPhone models will be available on both Rogers and Fido within the month.
The 16GB iPhone 3GS will retail for $199 on a 3-yr voice and data plan while the going rate for the 32GB variant is pegged at $299 n similar conditions. Meanwhile, the lone iPhone 3G 8GB model is now more affordable at just $99. For those who don’t want to tied down by a contract, these new iPhone models will also be available on a special “no-term” price when its officially launched on June 19th alongside its US release. No word yet on how much exactly the “no-term” iPhone 3GS will cost, but rest assured, will report more on this as soon as more info is made available.
Likewise, aside from being offered on the HTC Magic and Dream Android phones, the returning $30/6GB data plan can also be used in conjunction with iPhone purchases beginning tomorrow. This is, unfortunately, just a limited time offer. So, if you’re interested, better get it while it’s still hot. All other data plans, meanwhile, will still remain the same for both Fido and Rogers including the only national standalone $25/500MB monthly data plan.
