engadget reviews the Verizon BlackBerry Tour 9630:
Pros:
- the keyboard feels spacious and comfortable
- a high resolution 480 x 360 screen
- BlackBerry Tour has two versions: with camera and without
- a cleaner UI, a more extensive smiley collection, and functionality to send your location using the built-in GPS.
- the built-in GPS chip seems to be unlocked, meaning that it will work with third party apps. Verizon has gotten a lot of flack in the past about the decision to lock it down only for VZ Navigator
Cons:
- the screen itself seems to be incredibly sensitive to pressure
- The Tour is quoting 5 hours of talk time and 14 days of standby which seems to be about right.
- Not WiFi - if you like to travel abroad, and wifi is really irreplaceable in some of the more rural, remote, less industrialized
RIM would love to put WiFi in these devices, and it’s super-easy for them to do so. But Verizon has said no. Fortunately for all of us, this is supposedly changing in coming months.
