New pics of the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 surface, coming to Asia really soon

It’s been a while since we last heard anything about Garmin-Asus’ Linux-based nuvifone G60, but based on this latest news, it appears that they’re now ready to ship this baby out the door as far as Malaysia is concerned.

According to the kind soul who leaked these images, the Garmin-Asus nuvifone G60 will be released “within 30 days” in the country. We’re not exactly sure how credible he really is with regards to these matters, but Engadget has also received word from none other than Garmin themselves that both the G60 and Windows Mobile-powered M20 will be out in Singapore in August. Meanwhile, other Asian countries will get their share of Garmin-Asus branded goodies later this month. So, apparently, there seems to a lot of truth to what he is saying after all.

Sadly, though, there’s still no word on when either phones will be made available in the North American region. All we can do now is continue to wait and just hope that an appropriate announcement will be made once the nuvifone G60 and M20 are already released in Asia.
