Rogers branded BlackBerry Magnum gets pictured

The first time we heard about the BlackBerry Magnum was way back last year when it was disclosed as being part of Rogers’ BlackBerry line-up for 2009. It was referred to as the BlackBerry 9220 and slated for a Q3 release. Then there was talk about the BlackBerry Magnum again in April with some specs including WiFi and GPS being mentioned.

After several months, we now have a picture of the BlackBerry Magnum to entice us. The sad bit, though, is that the generous individual who took this picture decided to play a joke rather than just unveiling the Magnum in all of its glory for the rest of the world to appreciate. As a result, we can hardly tell it apart form the BlackBerry Bold and the upcoming BlackBerry Tour 9630. This is very unfortunate as the BlackBerry Magnum is rumored to be RIM’s first QWERTY-equipped 3G-capable touchscreen phone.

However, what is pretty evident in this picture is the Rogers branding. We haven’t heard anything from either Rogers or RIM about the Magnum yet, but with the surfacing of this leaked image, maybe they’ll decide to expedite the whole announcement and debut it sooner than later.
