Vertu intros Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre collection

More commonly association with automobiles, carbon fibre is now the key element in Vertu’s latest uber-expensive offering, the Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre collection.

Feautre-wise, the Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre has nothing extraordinarily new to offer coming with the typical 2-inch QVGA display, 3.15-megapixel camera with LED flash, 3G connectivity, and 4GB internal memory bundle. Design-wise, however, is a totally different case altogether. Ascent Ti Carbon Fiber phones boast of using “the optimum amount of carbon fibers and resin” which when combined is able to “achieve a flawless uniform look on both the flat and curved parts.” Likewise, each phone is handcrafted in England to the highest of standards. The Vertu Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre collection is composed of the following models: the Ascent Ti Carbon Fibre Limited Edition, Carbon Fibre Grip, Carbon Fibre & Copper Grip, and Carbon Fibre & Aluminium Grip.

It will be available beginning in August although price wasn’t mentioned. Nonetheless, considering that Vertu phones aren’t the cheapest ones in the market, we certainly don’t expect this new collection to be any different. It’s not exactly the budget-friendly phone we we’re hoping to see debut during these financially challenging times, but hey, I guess there are still those high-rollers and big spenders Nokia has to attend to.
