The Samsung Omnia 2 cell phone is coming soon exclusively at Verizon Wireless. The new Verizon Samsung Omnia 2’sites been up. This site has been saying “coming soon” for a month. Not exactly refuting what you now know to be “wrong info”. Soon could be Aug 23rd or Nov 23rd. Checking this site every day….

The Verizon Samsung Omnia 2 is not a capacitive screen so the phone will blow. The Omnia 2 features include 5 Megapixels camera, a 3.7 inches AMOLED display with 480 x 800 pixels,Wi-Fi, GPS, an 800MHz processor, TouchWiz 2.0 3D and running Windows Mobile 6.1. I’m an excited WinMo fan.

If you think about the technology inside these phones then you will realize $800 isn’t that bad for a computer the size of a wallet. That’s a very steep price tag…six hundred dollars or probably seven hundred dollars would have been a better compromise but eight hundred bucks for an unlocked phone that evidently will be discounted a couple months down the line isn’t worth it. Btw, the new AT&T HTC One X has no removable battery (though the capacity is weaker), no expandable memory, less going for it in terms of functionality /versatility of the software, camera is inferior to that on the SGSIII according to all reviews I’ve seen, etc..
