HTC Touch Pro2 now Available from Verizon, $199.99 (2-yr contract, after $100 MIR)

Even though T-Mobile and Sprint are in agreement that the HTC Touch Pro2 should retail for $349.99 on-contract, Verizon apparently has no qualms in offering this relatively new QWERTY slider for just $199.99 on 2-yr contract.

Verizon HTC Touch Pro2

Well, it’s not exactly $199.99 outright on-contract. You do need to send in a $100 mail-rebate and the rebate will actually come in the form of a debit card, but still, $299.99 isn’t so bad as its $50 cheaper than what the other two carriers are offering, and if you avail of the rebate, that’s a whopping $150 worth of savings. Apart from the usual specs, Verizon’s HTC Touch Pro2 will also come with bult-in GPS for VZ Navigator, VZ Navigator Global and other location-based services and apps. You can read the full press release here.

It’s now available both online and through regular retail channels beginning today. With this huge move by Big Red, will T-Mobile and Sprint adjust their HTC Touch Pro2 pricing accordingly? Only time will tell, but we certainly hope so.
