LG announces GD510 Pop touchscreen phone
Following in the footsteps of their highly successful Cookie phone, LG has announced their new compact touchscreen phone, the LG GD510 Pop.

The complete specs of this phone aren’t available yet, but as of this posting, it is confirmed to come with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 3-megapixel camera, and 8GB of memory. Simplicity is a key element in the LG GD510 Pop which is why there’s only a single button on its front that serves a multi-functional role and glows either red or green depending on the phone’s mode. It’s housed in a classy brushed aluminum chassis and is also pretty slim measuring only 4.8mm thin. An optional solar charging back cover might also be made available as well though details about it are pretty scarce at the moment.

Here’s a short promotional video of the LG GD510 Pop:
It will be available in Europe first in mid-October and will roll out to other markets thereafter. LG, however, didn’t go as far as to reveal its retail price since it will depend on the market in which it will be released in, but it should be noted though that this is an entry-level phone so expect the LG GD510 Pop to be more on the affordable side. The full press release can be found here.
