Best Buy Mobile launches mIQ Online Consumer Sync Solution
Best Buy Mobile is mostly known as a mobile phone retail outlet, but with their latest offering, mIQ, they’re showing us that there’s more to them than just selling phones.

mIQ is an internet-based service that allows registered users to sync and backup their phone online as well as send messages and even configure their phone settings all from the convenience of a computer. mIQ also provides access to popular social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter allowing you to automatically upload photos, videos and update your status. The best thing about mIQ is that it supports a wide variety of phones ranging from Windows Mobile devices to Symbian-powered phones and even BlackBerry. For a full list of compatible phones, you can check it out here. Missing from the list are Android-based phones such as the HTC Magic and HTC Hero, the new Palm Pre, and the Apple iPhone. Nonetheless, it’s hard to dispute that mIQ is a full-blown online sync service that will appeal to a wide variety of mobile phone users.
It’s currently on a first-come, first-serve basis. So, if you want to take it for a spin, we suggest you sign-up for an account right now. Once you’re done, do share with us your experience with mIQ as we’d love to hear your take on Best Buy Mobile’s new service. You can check out mIQ here.
