Verizon Motorola Calagary Andoid phone: First looks
Just when we thought the Motorola Calgary had been bumped off the production line, here’s BGR with some exclusive snapshots of this upcoming Android phone complete with Verizon branding.

As you can tell, this baby is all grown up now and is far cry from the early renditions that were leaked last December. Clad in an all-black housing, its touchscreen display is flanked by three touch-sensitive Android keys complemented by an optical joystick. Other confirmed specs include a 3-megapixel camera, WiFi, GPS, digital magnetometer (built-in compass), microSD card slot for additional storage, 3.5mm jack, and a spring-assisted slider mechanism. A point of concern though is the small looking QWERTY keypad. We’re not sure how functional this is in real-world use, but it certainly would have been better if it were stretched out a bit more to provide better spacing and some larger keys wouldn’t hurt either.

The Android build used in the Calgary wasn’t mentioned, but according to their sources, over-all performance was pretty decent. No word on when the Calgary will hit the market. They did, however, speculate that Verizon could release this Android phone in the last quarter of this year.
