Bell Samsung Omnia II: Official Mobile Device for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games

Nearing the final stretch before they formally launch their HSPA network, Bell has officially announced the Samsung Omnia II. This is the latest in their recent announcements confirming sycg devices as the BlackBerry Bold 9700, Novatel U998 HSPA+ Turbo Stick, Nokia 6350 and 2730 Classic all of which are set to debut this month and were featured in the leaked line-up we posted a couple of weeks ago.

The Samsung Omnia II, for those still not be familiar with it, comes with brilliant 3.7-inch AMOLED WVGA touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, DVD-quality (480p) video recording and playback, 7.2Mbps HSDPA connectivity, and Windows Mobile 6.5 as its OS complemented by their proprietary TouchWiz UI. Being the Premier Nation and Exclusive Telecommunications Partner for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, Bell is launching the Omnia II as the Official Mobile Device for the said sporting event. As such, users will be given the option to further personalize their Omnia II with a bundled Samsung Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games decal.

Still no word though on its pricing, but given that we’re already in the first week of November, we’ll know soon enough how much it will actually retail in the market. You can read the full press release over here.
