Dell Mini 3 Android phone gets officially announced; Headed for AT&T, Verizon in the US

Dell has just officially announced their first mobile phone offering, the Dell Mini 3.

Dell Mini 3

Previously referred to as the Dell Mini 3i and Mini 3iX, this Android-based full touchscreen phone has actually been launched in China already last August and has been spotted at the FCC just last week. Dell is now formally introducing it to the rest of the world and goes to reveal that it will be made available in China, Brazil, Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and the US as well. China and Brazil will be the first two countries to get the Dell Mini 3 with the former getting theirs this month and the latter by year’s end. The China version, though, won’t come with WiFi and 3G connectivity. Price wasn’t revealed, but they do go on to mention that the Dell Mini 3 will be available in the US via AT&T and Verizon sometime next year. You can read the full press release over here.

Based on previous reports, the Dell Mini 3 features 3.5-inch 640×360 LCD 262K color touchscreen, 3-megapixel AF camera with flash, 30fps video recording, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR support, A-GPS, Microsoft Exchange support, microSD card slot for additional storage, and runs on Android. We’re not sure if there are any changes to its spec sheet, but without anything else to work on, this feature-set is what we’ll be looking forward to when it debuts in the US next year. So, let’s hear it guys. What are your initial impressions on the Dell Mini 3 Android phone?
