LG prepping Snapdragon-powered Android phone for 2010 release
LG has broken new ground with the release of their first Android phone, the or otherwise known as the in the local scene. Unfortunately, compared to some of the newer Android phones such as the and , its specs are a bit on the underwhelming side. Well, if you’re one of those folks who feel that LG could have done a better job with the Eve, then maybe this latest bit of news will cheer you up.
is reportedly working on the Eve’s successor and one of its main upgrades will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Yup, you read that right boys and gals. LG will be hopping on-board the Snapdragon bandwagon and will be showcasing it in their next Android phone.
LG’s yet-to-be-named Android phone is scheduled to debut sometime in Q2 next year in Korea. That last footnote will probably strike fear in the hearts of many that it will only be limited to the Korean market, but there is a glimmer of hope that it won’t be the case as reports that LG is “considering” its release elsewhere. We’ll report more on this as the story continues to unfold.
