Motorola Droid Tips: Enable multi-touch, Improve Battery Life, Watch YouTube in High Quality

Those in the US may have been the first to get treated to the Motorola Droid, but unlike the Motorola Milestone which will be launched early next year in Canada by Telus, the Droid doesn’t come with multi-touch support right-out-of-the-box.

However, there is an app available that will allow you to pinch and zoom when viewing photos. The app is called Picsay Pro. This tip was shared by the guys at GuysFromQueens who already own a Motorola Droid and has found some easy workarounds to address its shortcomings. Here’s a video demonstration of Picsay Pro at work on the Motorola Droid:

He also recommends downloading the Advanced Task Manager app to help you keep track of all the programs currently running. This will come in handy in extending the battery life of the Droid.

Last, but certainly not the least, he also shares how to improve the video quality on YouTube. When viewing a video, simple tap the side button to open up the options menu. Select more, and then pick watch in high quality.
