Android 2.1 SDK now Available to Developers
In line with the release of the Nexus One, Google has announced on their Android Developer’s blog the availability of the Android 2.1 SDK to developers.
There’s not that many new features developers can look forward to in this latest SDK release since Google considers the 2.1 version as a “minor platform release.” Be that as it may, developers can now take advantage of the new framework API to come out with animated wallpapers of their own for use on Android 2.1-powered devices. As of this posting, the Nexus One is the only Android 2.1-based phone in the market, but HTC in Canada promised an Android 2.1 update will be released for the Rogers HTC Magic by mid-year.
