HTC Diamond3 (Obsession) to come with 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Windows Mobile 7
Windows Mobile 7 hasn’t officially been announced yet and we’re already hearing news about a Windows Mobile 7-powered handset that will be hitting AT&T and T-Mobile in the US this year. The particular mobile phone we’re talking about is the HTC Diamond 3, also known as the HTC Obsession.
We don’t have a photo yet of this upcoming device, but based on what WMPoweruser reports, it will feature a Qualcomm 1GHz processor and a 3.7-inch AMOLED display with multitouch support. It will also boast of a 5-megapixel camera with HD recording capabilities, 512 MB RAM/ROM, 4GB internal memory expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB) powered by a 1230mAh battery.
However, unlike recent HTC Diamond phones, the Diamond3 will only be available as a GSM phone as poor sales of the most recent CDMA Diamond made it a more reasonable choice for HTC to just stick with one version of the Diamond this time around. A tentative June 2010 release date was mentioned though they did go on to say that it might be delayed to a later date. Since its launch is still months away, we’ll hopefully get additional info and a sneak peak of what it’ll look like in the next couple months.
