HTC Smart (Touch.B) Brew-powered touchscreen phone now Official
If this phone looks familiar, that’s because it’s one and the same as the leaked HTC Touch.B we featured in the past. Today, HTC has officially announced it to the public and is now known simply as the HTC Smart.

The HTC Smart, as we noted before, runs on the new Qualcomm Brew platform. It features a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen, 3.0-megapixel camera with flash, HSPA 2100MHz connectivity, Bluetooth 2.0, 3.5mm jack, 300MHz processor, 256MB RAM, Sense UI, and a microSD 2.0 compatible card slot for additional storage. As you can probably tell by its modest specs, this new HTC touchscreen phone isn’t as smart as its name suggests.
The HTC Smart is targeting the more budget-conscious segment of the market, and is just the first in a brand-new line of affordable phones from HTC. Those interested in getting this one in the US or Canada are out of luck though as the HTC Smart will only be released in Asia and Europe. You can read the entire press release here.
