Nexus One now Official; Headed to Verizon (US), Vodafone (Europe) later this year

Goggle has officially announced the Nexus One, the first phone to be sold by the company, and true to the previous report, will be available both as an unlocked unit and a subsidized phone on T-Mobile in the US.

Those residing in the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong can already order it online by heading on over here. Despite being approved by the FCC with AT&T 3G, it’s confrimed that it won’t be available on the said carrier. On a good note, however, they did announce that it will be headed to Verizon in the US and Vodafone in Europe later this year which should be good enough a news consolation for those wish to get it on another network aside from T-Mobile.

As a quick recap, the Nexus One comes with a 3.7-inch AMOLED touchscreen, 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and is the first phone to run on Android 2.1. It also does pretty well in the 3D department with a 26.7fps 3D benchmark score using Qualcomm’s Neocore app.
