Nokia Q4 2009 report: 329M phones sold, Net income up by 65% YoY
Nokia’s Q4 2009 report is in, and based on the figures, they’ve gotten every reason to be happy.

The mobile phone giant’s Q4 net income rose to €948 million, a significant 65% growth year-over-year. Phones shipped worldwide also improved by 8% compared to last year amounting to 329 million units while converged device (or smartphone to the lay person) market share grew to 40% in Q4 2009 up from 35% during the same quarter last year. Q4 market share, likewise, grew to 39% from a low of 37% in Q4 2008 and 38% in Q3 2009.
The silver lining here, though, is that their market share for the full year of 2009 actually went down to just 38% from 39% in 2008. Be that as it may, it’s hard to dispute that Nokia ended 2009 on a very good note with improved figures across the board in the final quarter. You can head on over here to check all the figures of Nokia in Q4 and a summary of their performance for 2009.
