Airtel offers up Motorola Brute i680 for just $209 (3-yr contract)
Following in the footsteps of Mike (Telus), Airtel is now also offering the Motorola Brute i680 under its iDEN line-up of handsets.
For those note familiar with the Brute, this Motorola flip-phone is built to military standards making it ideal for roughing it up in the great outdoors. It boasts of a 2.2-inch internal display, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, GPS, 2.5mm jack, PTT functionality, and a 1.3-inch external color display.
The good thing about this is that it’s way cheaper than what Mike (Telus) has over their side of the fence. Getting it on a 3-year contract with Airtel will only costs $209 while its price sans any contract only goes as high as $309. Of course, apart from the handset pricing, there’s also the difference between the two carriers you have to consider, but if it’s not an issue for you to sign-up with Airtel, then you’re better off getting the Motorola Brute from them.
