Garmin-Asus announce Nuvifone A50 Android, M10 Windows Mobile 6.5.3 phones

Garmin-Asus has announced the latest additions to their Nuvifone line-up to help keep it up-to-date with today’s crop of mobile phones.

Garmin-Asus Nuvifone A50First off, here’s their first Android phone offering, the Nuvifone A50. It sports a 3.5-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen, 3-megapixel autofocus camera, 4GB onboard memory expandable via microSD card, and of course, various navigational services and features. It also comes with Microsot Exchange server support and is loaded with Google mobile services such as Maps with Street view, Gmail, search by voice, YouTube, and Android Market. The Nuvifone A50 will hit Europe in the first half of 2010 with its price still yet to be known.

Garmin-Asus Nuvifone M10For Windows Mobile loyalists out there, they have the Nuvifone M10 for you. This baby packs a similarly sized touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera, WiFi (802.11b/g), HSDPA connectivity, 512MB RAM/ROM, and 4GB internal memory with additional storage coming by way of a microSD card slot. More importantly, the Nuvifone M10 runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3, the latest version of Windows Mobile and only the second device we know of after the announcement of the Sony Ericsson Aspen. This will be released in Asia and Europe also in the 1H of 2010.

We’ll probably get more info on these two new Garmin-Asus phones including details on whether or not these will become available in the North American market at next week’s MWC event in Barcelona. For now, you can check out the press release of the Garmin-Asus Nuvifone A50 here while the one for the Nuvifone M10 can be found here.
