Rogers changing Local Calling Areas beginning March 15th

Rogers subscribers listen up. Your beloved carrier will be changing the local calling areas beginning March 15th which, for the uninformed, could result in ballooning bills after it takes effect. To avoid this, we highly recommend you check out the complete list here so that you won’t be surprised with any unexpected long distance charges after the said date.

Here is what’s stated in the announcement as the reason behind the change:

These changes will provide clarity around our local calling area boundaries and may make your bill easier to understand. As a result of these changes, some of your calls may be rated as long distance, which would first appear on your next invoice after the effective date. All other aspects of your service will remain the same.

With roughly 100 affected areas on the list, we suggest you check it out yourself to see whether or not you’re affected this local calling area change.
