Bloomberg Businessweek: Verizon iPhone could be launched on Valentine’s Day

Verizon iPhoneBack in June, Bloomberg talked about the much-rumored Verizon iPhone debuting in January of next year. There’s still no new evidence to support this even though it’s only a few weeks away. What we do have though is a new prediction, this time coming from Bloomberg Businessweek. According to their report, Apple will “likely host one of its splashy product introductions to announce a new version of the iPhone that works on Verizon’s network” possibly on Valentine’s day.

How much truer is this from previous Verizon iPhone rumors? We’re not holding our breathe on this new one, but it does line up nicely with all the talk we’ve heard in the past that a CDMA iPhone will be released in 2011.

Of course, taking a look at the big picture, this is still no guarantee of it happening. Talk of a CDMA iPhone talk has been around since 2009 wherein they estimated it would be launched in 2010. Did it happen? No, so why should we be more excited with this latest one when, just like before, there’s still hard evidence to support this?

With that being said, this doesn’t mean we’ve given up hope that this is true. We’re hoping. It’s just that we’re not betting our money on it.
