Verizon iPhone – New Verizon cell phones
The new Verizon iPhone is an updated phone to run on CDMA. I’m sure Apple will throw their hat into the 4G game soon enough. Not a world phone. A exciting, breathtaking announcement would’ve been an LTE version, global version, even the white version. Apple Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook said that the agreement with Verizon for the CDMA iPhone is non-exclusive, meaning the new handset could also appear on Sprint’s CDMA network. T-Mobile and Sprint will get it next go round. The exclusivity ATT had is obviously over and Apple would be idiots not to capitalize on the opportunity to once again reclaim the throne as the no.1 mobile OS in the US.

If you want an iPhone on Verizon right now you should feel pretty comfortable buying one now and upgrading in 2012. I have a hard time believing Verizon wouldn’t just wait 6 months if such a huge product was coming down the pipeline. I’m sure Apple gave them a general idea of what to expect and left it up to them when they wanted to take the plunge.
“iPhone 4 will be available on the Verizon Wireless network beginning Thursday, February 10 for a suggested retail price of $199.99 for the 16GB model and $299.99 for the 32GB model with a new two year customer agreement.”
