The Verizon HTC Thunderbolt cell phone is now on sale, it’s actually just $199 if purchasing online from verizon. $50 online savings. If your “Contract” ends in 3 months, then you can already upgrade. Upgrade eligibility with Verizon is 4 months before your “Contract” ends. Early upgrades typically carry an additional fee, but if you order online at Verizon’s website (use your My Verizon account login – or register for one) then the early upgrade fee is not assessed. The $29.99 unlimited 4G data plan on Verizon is very attractive, and may not last until then.

The Verizon HTC Thunderbolt cell phone has an upgraded processor, but it’s a mild improvement given what’s already on the market. It’s got a slightly faster processor, but lacks dual-core, which means it’s actually less power-efficient at top speed than the Evo’s processor would be, which is a major concern since the battery life on the Evo already wasn’t that great. However, the $29.99 unlimited 4G data plan on Verizon is very attractive, and may not last until then. Seriously. It’s a nice phone!!!
