Sprint HTC EVO 3D, EVO Design 4G with Android 4.0 ICS
The wait is almost over for HTC EVO 3D and HTC EVO Design 4G customers! The Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, update will begin rolling out to users by early August. Stay tuned for exact dates.

Sprint coverage in my area is great but these firmware updates to Android are a major issue. I have decided that my next phone will be a Nexus despite whether its HTC or another manufacturer so I avoid the massive delays with system upgrades held up by the carrier and manufacturers. I have to agree, the EVO 3D is a solid smartphone, many disliked it because they thought the 3D feature was “gimmicky”. I gave my brother-in-law my retired 3D after he dropped his GS2 Epic 4G Touch, an he actually likes it better, he also likes Sense over TouchWiz. It’s still a great phone and with ICS, it’ll be up to date. If you’re in a WiMAX market, the speeds are also very good, 6-10 mbps in Central FL.
What’s really sad is that these phones that are available on Virgin Mobile(the EVO 3D as the EVO V 4G) and Boost Mobile(EVO Design 4G) already have ICS with Sense 4.0…
