Samsung has announced the availability of its latest Android smartphone ‘ Galaxy Spica i5700 ‘ in Canada via Rogers. The handset is sold for $79.99 with a 3-year contract agreement or for $449.99 with free of contract. As a reminder, the phone offers a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, an 800MHz CPU, a 3.2MP camera, Android 1.5 OS, a microSD card slot (up to 32GB), GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth and supports HSDPA connectivity.

Bluetooth 4.0 will expand Bluetooth functionality to watches and other gadgets that run on coin-cell batteries.

Acer has made an announcement that their latest Android smartphone ‘Liquid e’ will be coming to Canada this Spring via Rogers.

The Acer E110 (image leaked by the Bluetooth SIG ) is their new Android phone following the Acer Liquid . It boasts of four touch-sensitive keys just below its touchscreen (size and resolution still unknown), UMTS/HSDPA connectivity (900/2100MHz or 850/1900MHz), A-GPS, and might have Android 2.0 as its OS.
